Frequently Asked Questions

I See people that look like they’re jumping in mid-air or floating, what’s up with that?
Our server allows players to triple jump. This allows people to do various tricks and stunts that they would not be able to do otherwise, or that would be very difficult to say the least. Your second and third jumps will maintain the speed at which you started moving in any particular direction. Using this you can also change the direction several times while in mid-air. This provides players that are still practicing strafe jumping or bunny hopping more leeway in their timing. Triple jump gives casual players the opportunity and ability to do tricks and stunts that they wouldn’t be able to do normally and opens up a whole new world of possibilities for veteran players. If you are using certain jump scripts you may experience problems jumping on the server. To remedy this simply disable any jump script that interferes with your ability to jump while playing on the server.

How Do I Throw Grenades?
Each class has two sets of grenades they can throw ( with the exception of sniper ). The first set is the primary grenade ( which is usually a normal hand grenade ) and the second is a secondary grenade which will vary depending on which class you are playing as. The only class that does not carry a normal hand grenade is scout, who instead has caltrops. You can throw a primary grenade by pressing the F key by default and a secondary by pressing the G key by default. As stated above, your secondary grenade will vary from class to class. For example, if you are a pyro, your secondary grenade is a napalm grenade, which sets enemies on fire and will burn on the ground for several seconds wherever it exploded. If you’re an engineer it’s an EMP, which detonates any ammo packs on the ground and extra ammo on any enemies within it’s blast radius. If you’re a spy it’s a gas pill which causes enemies in it’s area of effect to hallucinate and lose health over a period of time. Try out every class and see what kinds of grenades they have.

Someone threw a grenade at me and it looked wicked different. Why?
All grenades on the server have been modified for visual effects. Every type of grenade glows and trails a different color and is semi-transparent. For example, normal grenades glow and trail green, EMP grenades yellow, napalm grenades orange, MIRV grenades red, etc.

How Do I Build a Sentry/Dispensor/Teleporter?
In order to build something you must first be an engineer. If you aren’t an engineer you can switch to engineer by pressing SHIFT by default which will bring up a menu where you may select to change your class. Once you are an engineer you have to make sure you have enough supplies to build. You can obtain supplies by touching packs in your respawn areas or by picking up backpacks you see laying around. When you have enough supplies you are ready to build. To build, you must RIGHT CLICK by default. This will bring up a special menu for you to select what you wish to build. This menu will also allow you to dismantle and detonate your buildings and rotate your sentry gun as well. Be sure you have enough room to build what you want.

How Do I Drop/Toss the Flag or Key
You can drop or toss the flag/key by pressing C by default. Doing this can be useful if you have the flag/key and want to throw it somewhere that your team can get it more easily. Usually players will toss the flag if they have low health and feel they can’t make it out of the base with the flag or if the enemies defense is superior to their teams offensive force.

How Do I Discard Extra Ammo?
You can discard any extra or unneeded ammo on you by pressing X by default. Doing this will make you less vulnerable to engineer’s EMP grenades which causes ammo to explode. If you find yourself falling victim to an enemies engineer’s EMP’s you may want to consider discarding your extra ammo before leaving your base. You can also provide your teams engineers with the supplies they need to build and repair sentry guns/dispensors/teleporters by discarding your extra ammo near them. This saves them the time of having to run back to respawn areas in order to get supplies and the engineers on your team will appreciate it.
